Biodiesel Production from Waste Coocking Oil with CaO Heterogeneous Catalyst from Egg Shell

چکیده
Nowadays, the substitute for biofuel diesel fuel is biodiesel. Waste cooking oil has potential as a biodiesel feedstock due to its environmentally friendly, inexpensive, reduces household waste and does not compete with food needs. Generally, catalyst used in homogeneous but disadvantages. One effort that can be done use CaO from eggshell waste. Eggshells contain 95,28% CaCO3 which calcined produce CaO. In this research, production of by using eggshells various variables determine best calcination conditions preparation catalyst. The were at variable temperatures (600,700,800 900°C) during time (2,3,4 5 hours). operating transesterification reaction 60°C 2hours stirring speed 700rpm mole ratio methanol 1:12. results obtained, producing catalysts temperature 900°C 2 hours 75.90% mass recovery. addition, achieved yield FAME 64,56% density 0.8573 gr/mL viscosity 7.18 cSt.

Biodiesel Production from Palm Oil using Heterogeneous Base Catalyst
In this study, the transesterification of palm oil with methanol for biodiesel production was studied by using CaO–ZnO as a heterogeneous base catalyst prepared by incipient-wetness impregnation (IWI) and co-precipitation (CP) methods. The reaction parameters considered were molar ratio of methanol to oil, amount of catalyst, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The optimum conditions—15:1 ...

Biodiesel or fatty acids alkyl esters (FAAE) of long chain are an alternative fuel produced by a transesterification process. The potential production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil in Chile is associated to the solution of economic, environmental and social problems. Experiences from other countries have demonstrated that biodiesel prices are higher than diesel, due to the high costs of the ra...
متن کاملTransesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst
Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...

Oils of a significant value both as fuels as well as for cosmetic applications can be extracted from the fruits of the jojoba plant. After extracting the oil, the remains of the fruit can still be further utilized as a solid fuel in furnaces or feedstock to animals. In the present work, the solid waste jojoba remains have been processed chemically to extract more biodiesel oil. The physical and...
